The Ameren Illinois Smart Savers Initiative offers customers within select residential communities the ability to acquire a smart thermostat at no cost. The eligible communities for 2020 are listed below. Qualifying residential customers who reside in these communities, and who are Ameren Illinois gas and electric customers or Ameren Illinois gas-only customers, are eligible for the Smart Savers Initiative. Ameren Illinois all-electric customers are not eligible for the Smart Savers Initiative in these communities. Eligible customers can receive a free Google Nest Thermostat E or ecobee3 lite. Offer available while supplies lasts.

- Allowing your unit to learn your preferences and schedule
- Remotely managing your smart thermostat using a mobile device

Single Family Self Installation
Single family customers choosing to self-install will be eligible to receive a $25 e-gift card upon activation of their smart thermostat. The customer will need to email an image of their newly activated smart thermostat to Ameren Illinois and should then expect to receive the e-gift card via email within two weeks. Activation instructions can be found on AmerenIllinoisSmartSavers.com.

Single Family Program Ally Installation
Single family customers have the option to choose a Program Ally in their area to professionally install their smart thermostat for free.
Currently, we are not offering professional installations due to COVID-19 restrictions. -
Multifamily Program Ally Installation
All multifamily installations will be installed by a Program Ally – there is not a self-install option for this customer type. To sign-up for Smart Savers as a multifamily unit (3+ units) please contact: 1.866.838.6918.
